pretty, simple

It's the simple, yet thoughtful things that I find are often the most beautiful. Like these soy wax candles in glass storage jars by Toast. In love.

white and wood

A little winter's day inspiration in my favourite combination, white and natural wood. Love that little figure on the stairs too!

a magazine moment

I've just discovered a magazine moment, the beautiful blog by Wedding Style Guide's Jane Cameron. If you love Wedding Style Guide as much as I do, you'll really love the sneak peeks behind the lens, into Jane's home and on her travels. This lovely images are from the garden grown story in Wedding Style Guide's winter issue.

P.S You might see a hint of our Follow paper goods that featured in this story. More of these coming soon!

le labo

One of my favourite New York places would have to be perfumery Le Labo, visiting their Nolita store was truly a beautiful experience. The interior is meticulously styled, the packaging is lovely and the mixed-while-you-wait perfumes in scents like Jasmine and Tuberose are just beautiful. I chose Jasmine for myself.

More shots on our Facebook page.

happy friday!

Hope your's is a good one. Mine will be a happy working weekend... so much to do!

Oh and this photo is from my current favourite spot at Good Company. More, more, more soon!

hi ho silver!

Pretty sparkling silver cutlery from Brook Farm General Store.

Good Company!

So we can finally reveal our exciting news... Follow Studio is opening a little store, along with My Lens of Love, Melinda Tualima and Belinda Black Catering, called Good Company, in sunny Palm Beach, on Sydney's Northern Beaches. Can't wait to show you all the shop and tell more about Good Company...

At the moment we're busy putting the finishing touches on our space for a high tea opening in July (more on this soon) so for now I thought I'd share some little details from the shop.

flying fish

Love these little white fish on the wall of a Noosa restaurant spotted over at Concrete and Honey. Texture and light. So pretty.

brook farm general store

Another Williamsburg favourite, and actually my reason for making the trip over the bridge was Brook Farm General Store. I have loved this store from afar for the longest time, I was so happy to finally get there to see it for myself. And of course I walked away with quite a few goodies! The lovely owner Philippa was kind enough to let me snap a couple (read lots!) of shots of the store.

mast brothers chocolate

While in NYC a must on my list was a trip over to Williamsburg to Mast Brothers Chocolate it was so nice to walk into the store and see the beautiful chocolate being made and packaged by hand. The store itself is beautiful, lots of lovely old wooden furniture and hessian sacks... the bowls of samplers were a treat as well.

Of course the chocolate we bought was gone long before I could get a shot of it, this one is from Sunday Suppers.

m.i.a

I'm sorry I went and disappeared again... this time we were off to New York for the National Stationery Show! With that and so much going on around the studio (that I haven't even had a chance to tell you all yet) there just hasn't been much time for our little Follow blog.

But your patience will be rewarded! We have so much to show and tell from New York and news from the studio coming up...
