Victorian beauties
One of the first things I do when starting a custom wedding project is take a look at the couple's chosen ceremony and reception venues to get an idea for what it will look and feel like on the day. Lately I've been seeing some of the most beautiful Victorian venues, and I am now totally in love with The Stables at Stones and Merrick's General Wine Store (above). Such simple, rustic perfection.
I noticed yesterday that What Katie Ate has posted a little Melbourne round up including some oh-so-beautiful photos of Merrick's General too.

natural polish
I'm a little bit crazy about polished concrete slab bench tops at the moment, which I've seen mostly in rustic kitchens (I think I'll have to do this in my own kitchen at the next opportunity), but now I've seen this... I just love this bathroom, it's functional and natural but has a beautiful sense of polish to it too (excuse the pun!). Perfection.

It's so beautiful here in Sydney today you'd never know it is still supposed to be Winter time... I don't want this weather to end, just keep on coming into Spring please!
